Have you had a problem with THAT ONE client that just can’t seem to keep her lashes on?! Then the anxiety kicks in... Is it me? What am I doing wrong? How can I get better results?
Let’s talk about Lash porosity!
What is eyelash porosity?  Lash porosity is your lashes ability to absorb and retain moisture in your natural lashes.
Why does it affect my retention? Porous eyelashes absorb and retain adhesive much better than lashes that are either too porous or not enough.
How can I tell which texture my client has?
-High porosity lashes have holes and gaps, this means the cuticle will allow for the moisture to be absorbed easily but also lost. More adhesive is required for the extension to bond, but the weight may damage the integrity of the natural lash. Proceed with caution!
-Low porosity lashes repel products. Ahhhh!  When your clients natural lash can’t easily absorb the adhesive, they tend to pop off when brushing or last a short period of time post application. Sound Familiar?
-Normal porosity lashes have no holes or gaps but the cuticle layer is still loose so just enough adhesive can be absorbed. This provides a strong bond between the natural lash and extension. This is what we love to hear!
If you’re having retention issues, try these tips:
1)Wrap your fans. By doing these two methods, you’re getting better coverage of the natural lash’s surface area at the base
2)Use a Lash Primer. This will help balance the clients’ natural lash and help with bonding. We recommend our Dollce Doll Primer, Hydrates Lashes and guaranteed better results for retention!
